Technology Solution Architect (Northeast)

The Technology Solution Architect (TSA) serves as a senior-level technical sales expert and the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of Nihon Kohden’s Patient Monitoring solutions. Acting as a key partner to Marketing, Development, Networking, and Service teams, the TSA designs enterprise-level solutions that address complex healthcare integration and deployment needs.

In this role, the TSA gathers technical and business requirements by engaging directly with customers to understand their vision. They translate those needs into targeted, value-driven solutions, identify potential risks and opportunities, and provide trusted technical guidance to support business strategy and communicate Nihon Kohden’s technical value with clarity and impact.

To succeed, the TSA builds and nurtures strong relationships with clients and internal teams, becoming the go-to expert on networking, integration, and data mobility. Through this expertise, the TSA drives sales performance and helps elevate Nihon Kohden’s reputation as an industry leader.

Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to effectively communicate product features, benefits, value propositions, and competitive differentiators.
  • Partner with customer business and IT stakeholders early in the sales cycle to identify technical and business requirements; lead discovery, solution mapping, demos, and evaluations.
  • Regularly present to large audiences of client IT and Clinical Engineering personnel; regular interaction with CIO, CFO, and CMIO executives, both with existing and prospective clients.
  • Analyze client needs to develop accurate technical quotes, including compliant documentation, drawings, and scope of work.
  • Provide marked floor plans to support implementation teams, incorporating input from Sales.
  • Conduct on-site technical walkthroughs and deliver reports with support from design and engineering teams.
  • Translate client enhancement requests into actionable input for engineering and product development.
  • Share client insights to help improve products, services, and marketing strategies; collaborate cross-functionally to identify scalable, standard solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical pre-sales contact for key accounts, fostering strategic collaboration and clear communication.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology or related discipline, Master’s degree preferred; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in client-facing technical sales or sales engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, clinical integration, engineering services, or similar.
  • Customer Success or Business Development experience preferred, as this role requires creativity and a thoughtful approach to client interactions pre-sales.
  • Extensive client account experience with demonstrated ability to plan and to manage the execution complex client engagements.
  • Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills.

Compensation

Your Total Target Compensation (TTC) is composed of a $140,000 base salary plus incentives for achieving defined business goals including commission, bonus, business objectives, or combination thereof.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 30 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Approximately 70-80%; must have a valid U.S. drivers license.

Location: Must reside in the Northeast region of the United States.

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
