Product Manager, Ventilation

Department: Marketing-P. Monitoring & Vent
Location:

The Product Manager, Ventilation, is responsible for developing marketing strategies, literature, and training materials to promote Nihon Kohden's cutting-edge ventilation platforms. In this role, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the ventilation portfolio and will work with cross-functional stakeholders to support the business. Your ideas and expertise will help us stay ahead of the competition and drive sales growth.

Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Product management of assigned product lines: responsible for positioning, pricing, promotional activities, new product launches, market analysis, competitive monitoring, long-range forecasting.
  • Define and develop marketing assets, collateral, programs, and campaigns to create awareness to drive demand generation, opportunity acceleration, clinical demand, and brand value.
  • Build and maintain relationships with KOLs to build our clinical utility and value story for whitepapers, testimonials and speaking opportunities
  • Be seen as an SME RT resource and product champion
  • Able to discover & leverage AARC opportunities at the national, state & regional level
  • Assess & participate in ongoing development of pre/post sale customer experience
  • Ability to translate customer feedback into requirements, and communicate them to non-clinical functions
  • Work with engineering group on product development, requirements specifications, marketing materials and RFPs.
  • Develop and provide clinical/product training materials, tools, collateral and plans necessary for enabling success of the company's ventilation business.
  • Visit customer sites with the field-based Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents for promotion, demonstrations, pre-sales discussions & post sale assessments regarding Nihon Kohden ventilators.
  • Able to work collaboratively & effectively in a matrixed organization leveraging other functions for success
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, life sciences or related discipline
  • Clinical credentials (RRT) are required
  • 2+ years of experience in the medical device industry
  • Mechanical ventilation experience preferred
  • Prior downstream marketing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with customer educational platforms, LMS, SCORM requirements is advantageous
  • Level and compensation depend on experience, education and skills

  • High level of understanding product applications and operating conditions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Clinical expertise in medical devices and technology
  • Good conceptual, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $120,000. Actual salary is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Approximately 40%

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
