Electronics Technician, Configuration

Position Type: Full-Time

The Electronics Technician is responsible for pre-installation product configuration, assembly of patient monitors, manufacturing of products and occasionally repairing defective or damaged products.

Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Assume responsibility for the timely and accurate configuration of capital equipment, manufacturing of NKA equipment and repair of defective or damaged products for some Nihon Kohden product lines.
  • Accurately document configuration, calibration, assembly and repair of work performed.
  • Stay technically current with all Nihon Kohden PM products lines.
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with Company personnel and management.
  • Assist technical support personnel as needed.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • 1+ years of experience with medical device configuration or assembly/repair; or experience with computers repairs or configuration; or assembly and calibration of electronic devices
  • Experience in biomedical electronic or other technical discipline contributing to the maintenance and repair of clinical equipment/devices preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic principals preferred.
  • Computer configuration experience preferred.
  • Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills.

  • Knowledge of MS Office suite and other related applications.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Skilled working with hands and tools.
  • Basic networking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 to $28.00. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Physical: Generally, will require reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Travel: Minimal

Access to Customer Sites: Not Required.
