Software Test Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

This is a Software Test Manager and hands-on architect and test development role. The Software Test Manager is responsible for supervising the software test engineering team, establishing policies and procedures for design verification and validation, planning and execution of design verification and validation, designing and leading the building of design verification hardware/software, test equipment and products, and developing test procedures based on product performance requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Manages the Software Test Engineering team.
    • Mentor and coach team members.
    • Ensure operation by training client personnel; provide support.
    • Resource management (personnel).
    • Recruit the right people for skills and cultural fit.
  • Plan and manage the execution of the design verification and validation efforts.
    • Read and understand international regulatory standards, including the FDA, and develop test procedures and equipment to support meeting those standards.
    • Architects test deployment and automation solutions to enable continuous testing; investigates tools and technologies to achieve desired goals.
    • Develop effective and efficient automation test strategies and lead the efforts to materialize those strategies; introduces and implements best in class test development practices.
    • Resource management (equipment / facilities).
    • Work as needed with various NK entities to coordinate any testing activities as needed.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Select, manage, develop, and hold accountable team members to meet department deliverables and responsibilities. Complete company people management requirements. Exhibit manager competencies.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Testing
  • 3+ years of experience in Automation testing
  • 5+ years of experience of people management experience, including driving results through others, leading teams or projects, and providing training
  • Level and compensation depends on experience, education, skills, and location

Competencies Required

  • Effectively Work with NK subsidiaries located in internationally
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment

Compensation

The anticipated range for this position is $116,000 to $140,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience and location.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication in English. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
